Brest-based outfit Syndrome 81 got down to the heavy task of bringing 80’s punk-rock up to date. In just a few EPs, the band has become one of the best representatives of a new French scene internationally. Syndrome 81 manages the perfect blend of various influences of the second punk wave, from the american hardcore of Negative Approach to the french punk-rock of Camera Silens by way of the cold english punk of Blitz. Last summer the band delivered the long overdue first full-length Prisons Imaginaires, where they described the spleen of everyday life and the boredom of life in their hometown.

Francouzi Syndrom 81 si vzali za své dát osmdesátkovému punk rocku punc současnosti. S několika EPčky na kontě si vydobyli slušnou pozici mezinárodně uznávané kapely vzešlé z francouzské scény. Syndrome 81 zvládnou bravurně kombinovat různé vlivy – ať už je to americký hardcore ve stylu Negative Approach, francouzský punk rock a la Camera Silens nebo chladný britský punk ve stylu Blitz. Loni v létě kapela vydala dlouho očekávaný dlouhohrající debut Prisons Imaginaires, kde členové popisují  splíny a každodenní nudu v domovském Brestu.
